Aaron Angell (b.1987 in Kent, England) lives and works in London, England.
Angell works primarily in ceramics and his intricate sculptures challenge scale within our larger environments. Combined with his large wall collages, Angell’s sculptures challenge traditional aesthetics and techniques. He is interested in processes practiced in hobbyist craft cultures. Influenced by ritual, rural and modernist ideas, he will work with many concerns at one time anticipating their collision and collapse. He is drawn to oddness and formlessness, which happens through appreciating their capacity to induce aesthetic disjunction.
