Assemble are a collaborative practice of artists, architects and researchers whose work focuses on challenging the typical disconnect between the public and the processes by which cities are made. Together with Create, who have commissioned and produced socially engaged art projects for over five years, they are working on building a new Adventure Playground in Dalmarnock, east Glasgow.

Recent events include: ‘The Cineroleum’a derelict petrol station on Clerkenwell Road, London, transfomed into a hand-built cinema; ‘Folly for a Flyover’, a disused motorway undercroft in Hackney Wick, London reassigned as a new public space for the local area  and ‘Stratford Rising Slide’.
