Charlotte Prodger

Charlotte Prodger’s installations and performances look at what happens to speech and other representations of the self as they metamorphose via time, space and various technological systems. Prodger uses modes of display and design to expand her ongoing inquiry into the contingency and intimacy of materials, exploring tensions and contradictions that arise between form and content.

Prodger received an Artangel Interaction Commission in 2008 and previous  solo shows include: ‘Percussion Biface 1-13’, Studio Voltaire, London, (2012);’ JASON LOEBS . CHARLOTTE PRODGER‘, Essex Street, New York (2012); ‘:-*, Intermedia Gallery, Centre for Contemporary Art,  Glasgow (2012).  Group exhibitions include: ‘Fwd: Fwd: Rock Splits Boys’ (with Isla Leaver-Yap), Spike Island, Bristol (2013); ‘Holes in the Walls’, Early Works 1948-2013, Kunsthalle Freiburg, Freiburg (2013); ‘LUX/ICA Biennial of Moving Images’ (in collaboration with Corin Sworn), ICA, London, (2013) ‘Costume: Written Clothing’, Tramway, Glasgow, (2013).
