Ingrida Danieliute was born in post-Soviet Lithuania and obtained a BA in Photography, from Edinburgh, 2013. She is currently is based in Glasgow. Inspired by surrealist work and ideas of dreams and freedom, Ingrida creates her own take on these notions by producing photographic work. Often she alters the image to the point where it loses its photographic definition, bringing the image out of its traditional photographic fashion. Recent shows include a solo show, beta Aquarii at The Old Hairdressers, February 2015; collaborative work with Michelle Hannah ‘Leather’n’ette’ for Gwenan InterKubba, December 2014; NITEFLIGHTS IV curated by Michelle Hannah, February 2014; Zealous X, competition winners’ group show at Bargehouse Oxo Tower Wharf in Southbank, London, November 2013; and Free Range 2013, The Old Truman Brewery, London, 2013.
