ARTIST

Keef Winter

Keef Winter (b. 1980 in Ireland) lives and works in London, England.
Winter studied at the Edinburgh College of Art and Ulster University Belfast. He works using a material language he calls the Handyman Aesthetic combining his interests in art & architecture with sculpture, installation, noise-making and performance. Winter’s studio process generates abstract apparatus that reference urban dissonance and reflect on cultish practices. Often his structural installations directly respond to the space where shown.
Group shows include: Battle Drums Galactica, Performance in The Centre for Remote Possibilities, Matts Gallery, London, England (2014); Edge of Human, Los Angeles 2019, London, England (2014); Mixed Feelings Matter, TULCA Festival of Visual Art 2014, Galway, Ireland (2014); Let’s Build Our Own Tomb, Matts Gallery, London, England (2014).
