Mat Do

Mat Do (b.1982 Rochford, Essex) is currently enrolled on the MFA programme at the Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam. His work is primarily concerned with how imagery and objects gather force and meaning in their presentation and description, with fashion, clothing and accessories all being major points of departure. Recent exhibitions, projects and residencies include Cutting leaves for Dogs – Tale of a Tub, Rotterdam (Curated by Katarina Zdjelar), Sender Sumpf – Künstlerhäuser, Worpswede (DE) and Medusa – DKUK, Ancient & Modern, London. Since 2003 he has worked with institutions including – Grizedale Arts (Cumbria), Tate Britain, Site Gallery (Sheffield) and Whitechapel Gallery and has work featured in collections including the New Art Gallery Walsall and Channel 4.
