A Feminist Chorus

For Glasgow International 2014 Lucy Reynolds and Map present ‘A Feminist Chorus’, one film, two sound works and a performance, spanning three venues, opens 5pm, 5 April, Glasgow Women’s Library.
A Feminist Chorus, by Lucy Reynolds in collaboration with MAP, adds a communal voice to Glasgow’s feminist history. Participants from across Glasgow will recite at a collective choral event at the Glasgow Women’s Library, while sound installations will be aired in the Glasgow School of Art corridor known as the ‘Hen Run’ and in the former home of ‘Glasgow Society of Lady Artists’ (1882—1971), 5 Blythswood Square (to book see related events below). The full score draws on the collection of the Glasgow Women’s Library and the city’s archives. A film of the live choir performance will be sited amongst the books at the library for the duration of the festival.
