A day-long programme of events and being with other people.

Performances by Ash Reid and Liene Rozite, and Lila Matsumoto.

DIY guitar for beginners!! Run by Rachel Aggs. This will be a workshop for re-thinking the guitar as a macho power-tool /phallic symbol and improving your confidence with writing riffs / songs and performing live! We will offer examples of our favourite self taught guitarists and some inspiring LGBTQ, women and POC guitar heroes!! The focus will be on having great ideas and making cool sounds not on technique or right/wrong ways of playing – cus guess what? There is no wrong way! Even if you have never touched a guitar before, please come down and try it out! Let’s make a mess!

Talk/discussion with Lucia Farinati and Claudia Firth who will present and discuss their recent book The Force of Listening (Errant Bodies Press, 2017). This publication explores the role of listening at the intersection of contemporary art and activism, and asks what transformations listening might facilitate. Discussion will include issues arising from the book in the current political context as well as an invitation for audience members to reflect on what they have heard during the project a public library of and for listening.

The space will be open all day, come by for an informal hang out.
