Laura Aldridge & Anna Mayer
Working collaboratively, Laura Aldridge and Anna Mayer have designed and built a portable ceramics kiln, to be the focus of three themed firing events around the city. Local artists and practitioners are asked to contribute a performance or offering to these public gatherings. There is an emphasis on sociality and an exploration of how the art making process can be both ritualistic and casual.
The foyer of Trongate 103 is the base for the project, displaying the dormant kiln, ceramics produced and providing information on the events.
Commissioned by Glasgow International and supported by Outset Scotland, with additional support from Glasgow Life.
