Animating the city from 4th – 21st April 2014, Glasgow International returns for its sixth edition. The festival will continue to showcase Glasgow as a unique major centre for the production and display of contemporary visual art. Taking place in various venues and locations across the city, including Glasgow’s major art spaces and cultural institutions, the festival will comprise of an ambitious programme that includes exhibitions talks, performances and projects by international and Glasgow-based artists.
Highlights for the 2014 Festival include:
Major new commissions by critically acclaimed international and local artists including BEDWYR WILLIAMS, ALEKSANDRA DOMANOVIĆ, SUE TOMPKINS and SIMON MARTIN, and an exhibition by MICHAEL SMITH.
The programme for the YEAR OF HOMECOMING SCOTLAND 2014 will include off-site projects at Govanhill Baths and McLellan Galleries by JORDAN WOLFSON, CHARLOTTE PRODGER, ANTHEA HAMILTON & NICHOLAS BYRNE, AVERY SINGER, and works from the estate of HUDINILSON JR.
The festival includes 55 exhibitions and events across the city, taking place in nearly 50 venues, including highlights such as exhibitions by GABRIEL KURI, ANNE COLLIER, MICHAEL STUMPF, CLAUDIA COMTE, KHALED HOURANI, FIONA JARDINE and BEATRIZ SANTIAGO MUÑOZ, amongst many others.

Our latest Glasgow International limited edition print from Turner Prize winner Jeremy Deller depicts Stonehenge at sunset and is a continuation of his acclaimed Sacrilege
was commissioned for Glasgow International 2012, and this inflatable version of the prehistoric monument is currently on tour in Australia. The print is part of a varied edition of 60 and can be purchased directly from our online shop
along with a range of other limited edition works.
Glasgow International relies on public and private funding as well as income generated from the sale of artist’s editions to ensure that the ambitions and aspirations of the festival are realised. Glasgow International is part of Glasgow Life which is a registered charity.
