Glasgow International 2020

It’s Our Playground

Founded in 2009, It’s Our Playground is an artist duo comprised of Camille Le Houezec (b. 1986 in Lagny-sur-Marne, France) and Jocelyn Villemont (b. 1986 in Poitiers, France) who live and work in Paris, France.

IOP’s productions mainly take the form of exhibitions, Internet projects, display or installations, using curating as a medium. IOP pursue an uninhibited reflexion around modes of presentation, exhibition devices and the influence the Internet has on contemporary production. Since 2010, has been both a portfolio of their activity and an artist run space on the internet. It overcomes the ‘limiting’ constraints of a physical exhibition space. IOP’s online projects abolish the hierarchy between documents and question the digital presence of artworks and their documentation.

Solo shows include: Artificial Sensibility, Bonington Gallery, Nottingham (2017) ; Reconstructive Memory, Galerie Valentin, Paris (2016); Mental Matter, Les Bains-Douches, Alençon (2016); Deep Screen, Parc Saint-Léger, Pougues-les-Eaux (2015); Screen Play, SWG3 Gallery, Glasgow (2014).
