Kendall Koppe

The work exhibited for GI 2012 at Kendall Koppe was a collection of historical works from the American artist and activist Emory Douglas. The exhibition looked at a series of lithograph posters printed during Douglas’ time with the Blank Panthers. Invoking the ethos rooted in the Black Panthers’ manifesto, Douglas’ message is one of self-organisation, education, self-reliance and the power of a unified community.
