This show was a sculpture and painting project housed in a disused industrial edifice. Artists turned to subtle practices, pinpointing the content to one or two precise ideas at a time and focusing their attention as though through a magnifying glass and setting things quietly aflame. They were not so much minimalists in their treatment but specifists, operating under a shared assumption that by paring back to the pith of things, they got closer to achieving a particular brand of freedom.
