Online: STEP TO invited you to join an online discussion on issues of accessibility within our urban architecture. Glasgow, for example, is a city with numerous inaccessible heritage buildings, highlighted by Jacqueline Donachie’s new works at Govan Project Space and in the public work located in the now derelict Graving Docks nearby. In response, the online discussion asked: how can we make our cities more accessible for the people who actually live in them? Speakers included Becca Thomas, creative director and architect of New Practice, and Nicola Walls, head of arts and culture at Page Park Architects. The talk was chaired by Moira Jeffrey, director of Scottish Contemporary Art Network (SCAN).

On location: Following the online discussion there was an opportunity for a tour of the artworks with Jacqueline Donachie. Starting at Govan Graving Docks (Clydebrae Street) , Jacqueline Donachie discussed the development and realisation of the STEP casts sited there. From there, participants walked over to the gallery at Govan Project Space to view the exhibition, with refreshments.
