Writer Moira Jeffrey, painter Merlin James and curator Andrew Mummery discussed the work of Carol Rhodes in connection with the exhibition of Rhodes’s work See the World at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, part of the Commissioned Programme of the 2021 Glasgow International.

Moira Jeffrey is a writer and former critic based in Glasgow, her essay The Figure of the Earth: the paintings of Carol Rhodes was published in 2018.

Merlin James is a painter. He wrote the essay 'Mind, Body, Painting' on Carol Rhodes in the catalogue for her 2007 survey exhibition at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. In 2012 he and Rhodes set up the exhibition space 42 Carlton Place at their home/studio in Glasgow.

Andrew Mummery is curator of the Carol Rhodes Estate and worked closely with the artist for many years.
