Darragh Amelia

A close up of a bookshelf with books displayed.
A row of print displayed on a white ledge, lit up by a desk lamp on the left side.
In the centre of a room, there is a canopy of fabric covering a pile of dark fabric.

Darragh Amelia is an audio-visual practitioner largely found interrogating hierarchies across film cultures or obsessively examining subjects relating to memory. She has preserved, produced, and programmed audio-visual work with the Canada Council for the Arts, British Council, LUX, BBC, & UN agencies and has co-created spaces for audio-visual practice and training including Ajabu Ajabu and Nafasi Academy. She broke into the industry as a concession attendant at the Capitol 6 cinema in the mid-sized Canadian town where her mom resides.
