Holly Muir (b. 1994) lives and works in Glasgow, UK. Her practice skirts around storytelling, using the graphic language of film and comics to articulate personal and historical narratives. Working across carpentry, print-making and textiles, these narratives often explore utopian tropes, the restorative capacities of work, and human-animal relationships.
Muir also works as a set designer, and has trained at Scottish National Opera, The Royal Opera House, The Royal Shakespeare Company, and Pinewood Creative. Productions have included Libuše, Bloomsbury Theatre, London (2019), Collision, Arcola Theatre, London & Greenwood Theatre, London (2017), Liturgie, The Place, London (2017) & By Other Means, London (2016).
