Jessica Ramm
Jessica Ramm is an artist who lives and works in Glasgow. Ramm trained at Duncan of Jordanstone (2009) specialising in mechanical sculpture and at Edinburgh College of Art (2014) where she studied printmaking, material culture and sculpture positioned within alternative economies. Her current projects include a series of workshops exploring basic technology as a form of empowerment and a floating residency on board a wooden boat. She is also engaged in various ongoing collaborations with other artists which include making a radio documentary, a magazine photo-shoot and presenting live sculpture in a disused office-block.
Solo exhibitions include :Earth Rise, Tramway, Glasgow (2015); Personal Structures, Platform Easterhouse, Glasgow International (2018).
Group exhibitions and projects include: Leap, BBC Radio 4 production (aired 29 Feb 2020); Extraordinary Popular Delusions, Piazza Shopping Centre, Paisley (2019); Cena#3: INTERSECTIONS, Glasgow Women’s Library (2019); From A to Z and Back Again, AC Institute, New York (2019).
