Overhearing

This essay was created by artists clara hancock and gentian rhosa to accompany Overhearing, a listening workshop that took place as part of the Gatherings programme at Glasgow International 2024.
Through the methodologies of Pauline Oliveros alongside contemporary sonic theories, clara and gentian led participants through an immersive introduction to sound, listening and noise, followed by a sound walk where participants practiced and embodied the effects of noise through Deep Listening.
