We are recruiting the position of Open Programme Convenor

Glasgow International is recruiting an Open Programme Convenor to join the team on a temporary contract.
The role
The purpose of this role is to oversee, support and deliver Glasgow International’s Open Programme. This includes developing strategies of engagement for the communities of artistic practice that GI currently, or will seek to work with, informed by the specific concerns and lived experiences of those communities. Projects will take place in Glasgow, developed and organised by independent artists, curators, and organisations. The Open Programme Convenor will ensure projects and their organisers are supported throughout the application, development, production and presentation process as part of GI 2026. You will report to the GI Festival Director, and work alongside the GI team.
The candidate
If you’re interested in joining us as Glasgow International’s Open Programme Convenor you’ll need:
-Experience of working in festivals or contemporary arts spaces and/or arts in education/community settings.
-Demonstrated knowledge of Glasgow’s visual art community.
-Demonstrated experience of project management.
-Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with a variety of partners, groups and organisations.
-Production experience – knowledge of timelines and what is needed to install exhibitions and to deliver live events.

This post is a temporary contract and involves working part time (4 days per week) until 31 December 2025, and then full time (5 days per week) until 30 September 2026.
