This is a closed papermaking workshop with artists Enzo Camacho & Ami Lien, taking place with young people involved with Rumpus Room. The workshop is developed and delivered in collaboration between the artists and Rumpus Room.

In this workshop, Enzo Camacho & Ami Lien will share their process of learning about local land and food issues through making paper. Vegetal material will be gathered from foraging trips and kitchen scraps in and around Glasgow, processed into pulp for paper, and laid as multi-textural grounds for image-making, bringing our relationship with these materials, their stories, and their qualities into close attention.

Enzo Camacho & Ami Lien are artists and writers from the Philippines and the US, respectively. Together, they have a collaborative artistic practice that moves from the Philippines outwards to other places, addressing localised iterations of labour and capital from the perspective of imperialist damage.

Rumpus Room is an artist-led initiative working in collaboration with children and young people on art and social action projects within the local neighbourhood of Govanhill. Its community includes children, young people, families, artists, educators, activists and play workers.
