Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA Glasgow) is a vital hub for the arts in Glasgow. CCA hosts a year-round programme of exhibitions, events, films, music, literature, workshops, festivals and performances. CCA runs an open-source programming policy, through which venue space is given over to artists and organisations to present their own public events.
In 2019-20, CCA worked with 256 programme partners across 1,304 events and 28 festivals. This broad and experimental programme brings a diverse audience to the venue, with over 300,000 admissions during that period.
CCA hosts two libraries - Glasgow Seed Library, which provides herb and vegetable seeds for growing, and The Reading Library, which offers a collection of books available in the foyer - while the building is also home to a range of other cultural and artistic organisations.
Food and drinks are available at Saramago Café Bar on the ground floor, while the Terrace Bar offers a lively place to hang out in the evenings. Independent shops Aye-Aye Books and Welcome Home are located in the foyer.
