Located at the Whisky Bond on the banks of the Forth and Clyde canal, Glasgow Sculpture Studios (GSS) is the largest art production facility in Scotland, with specialist workshops in metalwork, woodwork, plaster, resin, ceramics and digital fabrication. Glasgow Sculpture Studios also provides studio space for artists exploring what sculpture means today.

Glasgow Sculpture Studios was established in 1988 as a membership organisation by a small group of recent art school graduates keen to ensure access to production facilities and make it possible to sustain careers in Glasgow. Its first home was on an industrial estate in Maryhill in north west Glasgow.

In the early 2000s, GSS was forced to find new premises, a process which was to see the organisation operate from two temporary locations over the next eight years. In 2012 GSS moved into its first permanent home at the Whisky Bond, a seven-storey former bonded warehouse.
