In the corer of a kitchen, there is a rack of containers and condiments. There are utensils and cutlery hanging from the rack. On the counter below that, there are many kichen supplies.
In the hallway leading to a room, the floor has the words "Broth Mix Cafe" and an arrow pointing to the room stuck to the floor.
Two people, a man and a woman are dancing together. The room has bright walls and some streamers attached to the ceiling.
In a kitchen there is a woman in an apron pouring something from a pot into a big bowl. There are pans hanging from a rack above her head. Multiple cooking supplies and utensils are lying around.

Kinning Park Complex

Curated by Open Jar Collective, Broth Mix temporarily transforms the Kinning Park Complex into a space for conversations and action. Part performance, part installation, part collective action, the Open Jar Collective bring together a range of skills and experiences in creatively engaging the public in a conversations about our food systems, and their impact on our communities.

During the first week, Open Jar Collective invited you to help transform the kitchen to create a functioning café in the complex’s main hall.

Once open, the café then hosted a series of talks, gigs, meals and workshops. A different soup was prepared every day by different members of the local community.
