A Feminist Chorus

Lucy Reynold's is interested in the collective power of the Women's Movement: tracing it through the spaces, writings and memories of the city. A Feminist Chorus included recitations from personal and polemic texts, adding a communal voice to Glasgow's feminist history.

The score drew on the collection of the Glasgow Women's Library and the city's archives. Participants from across Glasgow spoke the score at a collective choral event at the Glasgow Women's Library, while sound installations were orchestrated, recorded and aired at other locations that carry echoes of the past. A film of the live choir performance was sited amongst the books at the library for the duration of the festival.

A Feminist Chorus was curated by MAP, a Glasgow-based visual art and writing publisher.
