Kendall Koppe

Kendall Koppe presented the first exhibition in Scotland of British potter, Lucie Rie, alongside American photographer, George Platt Lynes. Using the loose theme of ‘Form’ as a conceptual concern, the two bodies of work came together as a celebration and investigation into the classical study. The two juxtaposing practices directly address form in an ultimately physical manner; Rie via the ceramic vessel and Lynes through the body. These underrepresented historic figures underpin many young artists’ practice without ever shifting to the forefront of a contemporary dialogue.

Exhibition curated by Kendall Koppe and Alistair Dearie.
Supported by Glasgow International.
