Museum of Alternative Motifs

Glasgow-based artists Olivia Guertler and Ellis Luxemburg founded the Museum of Alternative Motifs in order to explore their shared interests in museology and alternative viewpoints. Having founded the Museum of Alternative Motifs, Guertler and Luxemberg endeavoured to create future artefacts that documented Europe's last days. This activity enters a discourse with the idea of the ownership of history, creating a voice apart from traditional academic and patriarchal means of structuring and presenting the history of an empire, culture and economic and political systems.
